Use Your Gifts to Make a Difference!
At our May Faith Formation gatherings, we listened to guest speakers share about three different ministry opportunities. We can use the gifts of the Holy Spirit to serve God and others through these projects. Here is more information…
Ministry to the Homebound and Care Centers
Our parish nurse, Kris Flater, talked about the ways our parish reaches out to those who live in care facilities or who cannot leave their homes without assistance. To find out more about taking Communion to these individuals and other ways you can assist, please contact Kris.
Caring Hands
Caring Hands serves our neighbors in eastern Polk County with food, clothing, and other assistance when needs arise. Treating each person with dignity and respect, they offer a helping hand in times of need. They welcome and appreciate assistance with this ministry in many ways:

Our parish has a long relationship with this ministry of partnering with neighbors to help them obtain a home of their own. There are many ways to support this important work:

- Donate non-perishable food to the food pantry by using the wooden box in our gathering space.
- Donate clothing and household items (including toys and books) in good condition to Secondhand Treasures Thrift Shop.
- Volunteer at the food bank, thrift shop, or community garden.
- Save the clean plastic clamshell containers from produce you purchase and give them to the community garden for distribution of their produce.
